Following the submission by the authors, articles are to be previous evaluated by the Editor-in-chief (Desk Review). At this stage, the formal text structure, focus and originality are evaluated. If approved, the article is submitted to the double-blind peer review system.

The peer advice is checked by the Editor-in-chief and defined as: accepted, necessary corrections or rejected. If the article returns to the authors for corrections, the new version should be submitted without guarantee of acceptance. After a new review, the Editor-in-chief will analyze if another reassessment is necessary. At this stage, reevaluations may occur between the editorial board, ad hoc reviewers and authors until the final decision to accept or reject the article. If accepted, the article will be subjected to grammatical review, verification of APA formatting and diagramming.
